Monoprints / Colour Ink 1

In a recent tutorial, I presented my original mono-prints. My tutor suggested that I use colour in them somehow, to amplify the idea that they are depictions of neon lights.

The below set of prints are using the same composition as the previous, but using colour in the text – to represent the neon sign. I think the colour detracts away from the ghostly quality the original prints have. The text doesn’t feel as powerful as I want it to, maybe because the the text isn’t as thick or it’s too small – something I will develop next:
